In this episode of 60 seconds with Serai, we talked to Anson Bailey, Partner and Head of Consumer and Retail in Asia Pacific of KPMG China, about his view on tomorrow's apparel industry and what sustainability means to him.
Tomorrow's apparel industry looks very challenging on the one hand. However, on the other hand, I think there're a lot of possibilities. If companies realise that they need to change that, they also need to collaborate and they are going to work together, and they are also going to have to embrace technology.
I would say, quite frankly, what does sustainability mean for our next generation? And one thing is for sure. I look at my children. I look at the Gen Z consumers and they now are very concerned about the planet. They're concerned about climate change. And so sustainability is not a nice-to-have. Today, it is a must-have.
